and i am asking yot to tell me whos suit me!

    thanks

    • ANSWER:
There is no straight answer to this question... everyone of us is different! Just get onto an insurance site, enter your info and the car (it is enough to enter the year, make and model), see what pricing you get.. You can opt out just for minimum liability coverage, no collision or comprehensive, that is if you are willing to forgo the money you invested in the car if you total it and don't care if you are sued in case of serious accident.

  8. QUESTION:
    Drink driving & car insurance?
Does anyone know of any car insurance dealers that are kind(er) to drink drivers?

All my qoutes are high and I just don't have the money to be forking out on car insurance. I have just bought my first flat and have a baby on the way...I wish they could see that circumstances have changed!!!

    • ANSWER:
Unfortunately, ALL insurers will consider you high risk and will charge you a hell of a lot more.
Theres no way around it I'm afraid, just hunt around for the cheapest. Its possible you could pay monthly.
I would recomend you phone up companies rather then searching the net because they can tailor the insurance to you better.
Basically, you have to prove over a period of time that you are now a trustworthy driver, just like new drivers have to. It takes time but the prices will come down.

  9. QUESTION:
    Getting Insurance qoutes?
I am 16 just got my license. My parents have collision with progressive. And pay 1 a month (both parents included). To add me to their policy, progressive wants an additional 0 a month. Is it possible to only insure me with liability insurance on a different policy with a different company on the same car???

Just do some legwork and find a cheaper insurer.

  10. QUESTION:
    Free car insurance quotes?
are these qoutes accurate or could the price they give you actually be lower then what the free quote says?

    • ANSWER:
The quotes are an estimate at best, and based on information you give. I'd suggest that instead of looking at a web page, find an independent agent, give him your information, let him run it, and find you the best deal in his data base. The side benefit is you have a person to talk to if needed instead of an 800 number.

  11. QUESTION:
get online private taxi insurance qoute ?
Just wondering if i can get online taxi insurance qoutes like i did when i was just insuraing my car for personal use on compare the market and the likes ?
im in uk looking for the insurance

    • ANSWER:
Nope. You can't buy business insurance online - including taxi insurance. Most companies won't want to cover it, either, so you have to find an agent who can find a company who will give you a quote. It's going to cost WAY more than your personal car insurance, too, just to prepare you.

  12. QUESTION:

    • ANSWER:

We currently have Geico Insurance and I have gotten a few more qoutes from different companies but nothing has been cheaper. My best advice is try calling some local companies.. i have found that they tend to understand the traffic problems around your area and may fo easier on prices. 15. QUESTION:
What's the best insurance policy for a new driver?
I'm about to get my licsence, and buy my car but basically I wanted to save up all my money so that I can buy my car and hopefully pay off my 6-month policy becuase I like paying things off as a whole, I hate owing people money so basically i was wondering if any Southen Floridians out there or any1 really knew of an good insurance policies I can lookinto, so far I've done qoutes and my lowest was a 1,600 policy, is that high low just right? Ofcourse this all would be avoided if my mom would just let me get on hers but theres no hope in that...sigh*

    • ANSWER:
Car insurance is nothing but a blatant ripoff. Did you know they get their rates by guide books and statistics? (I know someone who works for State Farm). It's all a scam and of course it is regulated by the government. Being a woman will get you a lower rate. Being a student with good grades will help you. Do you know you pay for uninsured drivers? Did you know that married people get lower rates than single and that your credit report also plays a part? I would really look around before deciding who to go with.

My insurance went up 47% when I moved from a busy residential area 12 miles from work to one 8 miles further. Then I moved to only 4.5 miles from work and into a quiet, low crime, residential area and my rate dropped only 4%. No accidents or driving offenses occured during this time. BTW, I'm a 37yo single male. That goes against me!

If you have a car that is paid for it will significantly lower your rates as you will only need minimum coverage.

I wonder what insurance agents pay. I bet they have a loophole that gets them around that!

  16. QUESTION:
how can I convince insurers that I'm low risk?
I'm under 25, haven't had my drivers licence for long and started working at the beginning of this year. The vehicle insurance qoutes that I get are almost double the instalment of the car. Is there a way that you can convince your insurer that you are low risk?

I don't necesarily drink or smoke, if that ever does count.

    • ANSWER:
The above answers are certainly true, but you should check with your insurance agent because your insurer may have an age limit themselves in terms of when the rates change. My rates were a certain cost until I reached age 26 for a woman and not till my husband turned 28. Some insurance companies have lower cut-off ages, so it's best to ask them if you feel like shopping around for new insurance. It also sometimes depends on what kind of car you drive in terms of safety features (alarm system, ALBs, automatic seat belts).

Some car insurance places have started basing their rates on their client's credit histories, so if you feel you have a low credit score of not so stellar history of bill payments, trying to decrease your debts and keeping up with bill paying may make a slight difference.

The best way to save money on insurance is to keep your eyes peeled for deals by shopping around, and to keep in touch with your agent regularly to inquirer about new discounts you could qualify for (like have they started a safe driving discount? sometimes agents won't apply these to your policies right away, you need to give them a little nudge to rerun your numbers.)

Oh, that and not living in New Jersey. Rates here are just astronomical no matter what you do.

  17. QUESTION:
A lady failed to giveway and T-boned me , I have no insurance but its 100% her fault.?
She claims she has 3rd party, but refuses to admit that its her fault. she insist that I came out of nowhere and I hit her, mind you I was travelling on the main road and she came out of a side street and went through a giveway sign. When she T-B'd me she made my car run head on into a 40km sign pole and straight through a ladies fence. I have photos and the damage on my passenger side door clearly shows where she hit me. I also have witnesses , but the lady already told her insurance company it was my fault, and she refuses to give me her insurance details. My car is bad looks written-off but not sure yet coz nobody wants to come and do qoutes. My problem is my insurance expired, but its 100% her fault. I have witnesses and photos. Is there anyway for me to get my car fixed through her insurance? I live in Melbourne, so anyone with insurance knowledge or has experience in this matter your help would be greatly appreciated.

    • ANSWER:
NOTE TO AMERICANS - PROPERTY DAMAGE INSURANCE ON YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT COMPULSORY IN AUSTRALIA - ONLY INJURY INSURANCE.

there, got that out of the way.

so, she's pulled out in front of oncoming traffic? what is she relying on to hold up her argument that she is not at fault???

bummer that your car isn't insured. you could then let your insurer sort this out with her and take her to court if she refuses to pay or lodge a claim.

if you haven't already lodged a police report, you'll probably need to do so.

keep hassling her to lodge a claim with her insurer. i'd also point out to her, that she PAYS for her insurance, so why doesn't she just let them know and you can deal with them instead of hassling her. i'd also tell her that if she thinks she is not at fault and her insurer agrees with her, then you won't be able to claim from her or her insurer. this might give her some false confidence that her insurer will stand up for her. in my mind, you are absolutely right, she is 100% at fault.

you will NOT be able to ring and claim on her insurance, unless she actually lodges a claim first. thats part of the privacy act legislation.

i highly doubt that she's bothered to speak to her insurer yet either. sounds like she's just saying that to tell you get you to go away.

if not, you may need to get a writ issued against her for your damages amount and go through the courts. this is the long and expensive way though - BUT i'd let her know that she'd ultimately be responsible for all the legal costs if the court fines in your favour.

    SVT Cobra 03 Insurance?
My father has a Mustang Cobra 03. Since I have a permit now, the cobra is all mine. I am wondering how much will I have to pay for insurance? I am sixteen years old (sirousely) .Male. No Violations. "A" student. No modifications to the car. Only driving it to school and work. I tried getting qoutes online but they are not availeble for my age. Please give me an Estimate. Help. Plz.

    • ANSWER:
A way lot. The cobra ISN'T yours until the title is in your name.

You will need to retitle the car, before you can get insurance in your name. You ALSO need to list a licensed operator to drive the car - that's the real holdup.

It's going to depend WILDLY on where you live - Iowa, or New Jersey?

EXPECT this to cost you ,000 to ,000 a year.

  22. QUESTION:
will this hold up in court?
about a year ago my father owned the car that is now mine. While at a mans house doing some repair work the man backed into the car while parked and put a huge dint in the car. The car has since been signed over to me. We have tried and tried to get this man to report this to his insurance company and give us the money that is rightfully ours. We have given him several qoutes to repair the vehical. He is looking at about 1,300$ to fix it. He refuses to answer our calls, or call us back. When we do get him on the phone he says its been to long.. i am not paying. Or other bs excuses. I have been told to file a civil suit against him. Will it hold up in court having been so long ago, and having been switched to another persons name since the accident.

    • ANSWER:
If this happened less than a year ago, the statute of limitation has certainly not passed.

You should have reported the collision to your own insurer and to the police. (Your insurer might not have covered it, but they would have assisted you and told you what to do.) Report it to the police and file a small claims court summons. If you do not have the name of the owener and/or driver, the police and DMV will help you.

If the owner/driver or his insurer doesn't pay his driving license may be suspended.

Everything depends on the law in your jurisdiction.
