The insurance business world is one of the very few places where age can be used to distinguish between citizens based on their age. Insurers assess different charges for different people depending on their age. If you are a 16 year person and you feel that you are going to be getting a healthier premium than your 22 year old buddy because you are better committed than him or her then you are making a wrong analysis.
Insurers tabulate their insurance charges using 'brackets' or categories of consumers grouped together with certain common elements. These classes could differ based on a number of factors like age, marital status, gender, area, consumer credit rating etc. This essay is partial in its extent to the age element.
Young Operators Groups:
Below Age 18: This is the age category where insurance price is the at record high. People in this age group pay as much as 175% to 225% more than mature operators. Since no one below age 18 will get a CDL, any operator below the age of 18 driving a motor vehicle that has business coverage may be risking declination of coverage in the event of an insurance claim.
Age 18 Years to 20 Years: Individuals are still classified as young drivers, and they still have to pay greater prices than mature drivers, though their premiums are much less than the previous bracket. At age 18 individuals can possess their CDL. Most insurers that may consider them will not even look at there insurance submission for policies that require interstate setup coverage. Companies that allow them to be on a business policy will restrict their insurance coverage to intrastate activities.
Age 21 to 24: This is the last bracket in the classification of youthful drivers. Insurance premiums for private insurance begin to stabilize with most insurance companies, when compared with prices served to mature operators. Age 21 years is where many commercial insurance companies start to accept commercial auto insurance applicants with interstate bearing. All companies will put in special price extra charge for commercial operators under age 21 years, and some insurance companies may require a specific period of expertise like 12 to 24 months of experience to look into them for insurance coverage.
Mature Operators:
Age 25 years to 69 years: A large number of insurance companies impose very similar prices for this age category, although a small number of insurance carriers begin to charge small build up in their premiums beyond age 60 years. Age does not seem to be important for this class.
Old Drivers:
Over Age 70 Years: There are important studies made by insurance companies and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration- NHTSA www.nhtsa.gov that suggest that individuals over age 70 years begin to lead to more traffic accidents. For that reason, insurance companies take certain measures to implement the right rate with the appropriate medical reports from them. Most business polices do not cover operators above age 71 or 72 years. On the individual insurance level, almost all companies stop selling newer polices for customers beyond 76 years of age, and other companies make the insurance price very excluding.
What else can be done to decrease the influence of age on premiums? There is not much that old and young drivers can do. Young operators and older operators are leading to more highway accidents, relatively speaking, and they must simply pay the price for that. Many insurance carriers accept good student discounts for younger student operators, and other companies may permit occasional operator status on their policy. For older drivers, making sure that you have the correct medical record that shows the physical and mental functionality of the old person to drive the car is wanted to give to the insuran 00004000 ce representative. The absence of that note to be provided in timely manner may end in ceasing the policy which might be complex to replace with another company afterwards.

QUESTION:
What's a good short storyline for a car insurance commercial targeted for parents of teens?
OKAY! so i need a good storyline for a school project im doing! Im making a commercial with my friends with video. My topic is CAR INSURANCE and it is targeted at parents. Specifically Parents who have teens on there hands that are just about to drive!
PLEASE HELP! thanksss!-
ANSWER:
Distracted Driving is a big one now. Things like texting while driving, talking on the phone while driving, horsing around with friends while driving. Distracted Driving and Speeding are major factors in causing accidents. Many car insurance companies put out a public service message in their commercials. Promoting the Good Neighbor, Helping you is what we do best, On your side (and similar slogans) promote the company but also put a message to help reduce accidents.
Maybe a commercial telling parents to talk with their kids about distracted driving (no texting while driving) BEFORE an accident happens. This can reduce the chances of damage to your car but more importantly save your teens life. Quite literally, texting while driving is a matter of life and death.
Wearing seat belts also saves lives. In a roll over accident, if you don't have a seat belt - you can be ejected. Getting ejected in a roll over can kill you. People are ejected at a high rate of speed. They can hit trees/objects. The rolling car can roll over the ejected person. Going through a front windshield is not pretty either. If you don't get ejected, it's common to end up with a "hang mans fracture". This happens when the unbelted occupant hits their head on the roof of the car causing them to break their neck (at the C2 vertebrae). This causes them to be paralyzed from the neck down.
I know that wearing a seat belt is an old message but it's an important one. Seat belts save lives. Maybe something encouraging parents to wear their seat belts and to teach their kids to wear them too.

QUESTION:
Why is it that every car insurance commercial claims that you will save 0ish a year if you switch to them.?
Why is it that every car insurance commercial claims that you will save 0ish a year if you switch to them. They all say the same thing and show their competitors’ rates, so how are they all correct?-
ANSWER:
Yes, because among each of the car insurance plans there are different charging rates, warranties, terms, etc. So they usually pick the one of their plans and another competitor's plans with the biggest difference to show how much can POTENTIALLY be saved. But of course, there is always exaggeration. The best thing to do, research what plan of insurance is best for you, and which company offers the best deal on it

QUESTION:
If I get a company car, do I HAVE to get commercial insurance?
We are going to be trading in out personal car to get one to use for our small business. It will be used for both personal and business means (like the other one), except the business will be footing the bill (already taked to our accountant and all systems are go!).What makes it a business venture is we are getting a FULL car wrap with advertising for the company on it (talk about a rolling billboard). Much better than those small magnetic signs that are hard to read.
I started looking around and found commercial insurance is WAY more expensive than personal. We are the only ones going to be driving it, we won't carry clients in it, we won't have any equipment in the car, so its just like the old car. So do you think I would need commercial insurance or personal?
-
ANSWER:
Depending on what kind of corporation your set up as may dictate how you can use your deductions, but with that aside, no you don't have to get commercial insurance. From what I've been told from someone in your shoes is that if you don't need a special license class to drive the vehicle, you don't need it. If you get commercial insurance though (personal insurance too), you should be able to deduct the cost through and use business pre-tax dollars to pay for it so your actual cost is much lower than it first appears. I hope your are having the business buy the car too instead of your after tax income.
Ask your CPA for exact deductions rules for your corporation.

QUESTION:
How much is commercial car insurance?
I am doing a project for school and need to know a ball park range of the annual cost of car insurance for a courier service. here's some info:-2 cars
-6 drivers
-cars will not travel more than 20 miles per trip
-liability limit 0,000
-uninsured/underinsured motorist limit 0,000
-General liability coverage: 1,000,000**these do not have to be exact but the rate you give me is for other limits, just tell me those limits.
I have no idea so any info you have and can back up would be awesome!
THANKS!
well it is actually a delivery service that would go pick up anything for you (ie a pack of gum at a gas station) and deliver it to you.. so it would be the employees' own cars. but we still need to insure them... even though they are insured personally
the reason i'm not "helping myself" like you suggested is because yes--it is easy to check car insurance for PERSONAL rates online, but i was unable to find a place that you could get rate quotes for commercial insurance without having to call them and tell them all of your information.
thanks though :]-
ANSWER:
It would depend on what type of vehicles you had but I'm assuming with a courier service it would probably be economy vans.
Also it would depend on the driving records of your 6 drivers, but with those limits for a yearly rate I think somewhere in the order of 00 - 00 would seem realistic.
Edit...
As I reread your question I noticed that you included a seperate qualification of General Liability coverage. This would normally be a seperate policy from your auto insurance and would cover things such as your courier drops a heavy box on an elderly man breaking his hip. This would be a General Liability policy and with a M limit, you can expect that to run another 0 a year or so.
Combined you could probably safely say 00/yr.

QUESTION:
Commercial car insurance?
I'm basically a one person business and I own a care I use for business purposes, can I list my car as a business car and insure it as a business car?-
ANSWER:
No insurance company will let you do this, unless your "business purpose" is a retail or commercial class. If you use the car to go to/from a job site, you'll need to keep it on a personal policy with a work use endorsement. If you haul passengers or goods for a fee, or do delivery . . . you'll need the commercial policy, which will probably cost two to five times as much as a personal policy.

QUESTION:
Wher should I get my car insurance from?
I have seen a lot of car insurance commercials but none of them have convinced me which one is clearly the best you can tell me one even if there is no commercial for it and also does aaa work-
ANSWER:
I can explain this much:Most of the premium you pay does not pay for eventual accidents. Most of your premium pays for the Insco's rent, their phone bill, the electric bill, the clerk's wages, the furniture in their offices, and so on. Insurance is a business, and more than anything we pay for them to exist.
So, the basic cost of your premium is SET by how much it costs the Insco to exist, and it can not and will not go below that. That having been said, collisions can and do happen...
While one collision every 20 years won't hurt much, any more than that and the effect starts to snowball, to the point where one can be construed a high risk driver (citations and driving violations, even without collision, affects the risk factor as well).
The cost of high risk drivers is shared by all of us, meaning the premium everybody pays includes a portion set aside to pay for collisions etc... Once again, the premium is SET by this cost and will not go below that, no matter how much money the Insco has to fork over, it's not free money, we will pay for it one way or the other.
Thus, the fewer collisional damages that have to be covered, the lower the premium. And, I don't want to pay for someone else's high risk if I'm low risk myself.
So the Insco's realize this, and while some insco's insure high risk drivers, others do not.
As a general rule, even IF you have a perfect driving record, should you get your insurance through a company that does insure high risk drivers, then your own premium will be higher as well. Conversely, if you can get insurance via a company that plain refuses to accept high risk drivers, then your own premium is lower (but your driving record has to be good to perfect). So, first it pays to drive safely.
Once (or if) you have a perfect driving record (nothing in the past 5 years), or maybe one little ticket I think is ok, you should check with Nationwide, Geico, and Allstate (in that order, their premiums go up slightly from one to the next). Now you can shop long and hard, and you might find someone a few dollars cheaper (maybe), but as a rule, if you're with Nationwide, you won't get much cheaper, it just doesn't happen.
