What is temporary auto insurance? Arizona residents may have a need for insurance that's just for a short period of time. They can get temporary auto insurance for a few days, a week, a few weeks, a month, even just for a day.
Why would someone need insurance for a day?
If you need to move a vehicle that has been temporarily taken off the road, consider getting temporary auto insurance. Arizona Arizona companies can cover you for various types of temporary auto insurance Arizona Arizona coverage and for varying amounts of time.
Some people take their chances and move a vehicle without the proper insurance. This can be a big mistake. Sure, you could get away with it. You might not get stopped by police. You might not get into an accident. But what if something goes wrong?
It is illegal to drive without insurance in Arizona. It is illegal to drive without insurance in most places. If stopped, and you're unable to provide proof of insurance or proof of financial responsibility that would exclude you from needing insurance, you will be subject to: fines, problems obtaining regular insurance in the future (you may be required to fill out an SR22 form), and you could have your license suspended as well as your vehicle towed.
Even worse than being stopped and being caught by authorities without adequate insurance would be: getting into an accident with another vehicle or causing damage to someone's property with your vehicle. If you are deemed at fault, you could face a financial nightmare in temporary s of legal costs. In Arizona, you are required to carry ,500.00 in bodily injury insurance for an individual and ,000 total plus ,500 for property damage. It's a full vs limited tort state so people in an accident with you could also sue you for pain and suffering damages. A judge isn't likely to look too kindly on someone who doesn't follow the law with regard to insurance.
What about other insurance types?
While there is a law required for liability insurance, other temporary auto insurance Arizona (or elsewhere in Arizona), there aren't laws regarding other types of insurance. You don't need to buy collision insurance. You don't need to buy comprehensive insurance. You also don't need, by law, to cover yourself in case you're in an accident with someone without insurance. But shouldn't you at least consider it?
What are the recommended insurance coverage amounts?
There's no single answer to the insurance recommendations. Most experts will agree that the bare minimum isn't enough in the case of a serious crash. Because you're signing up for temporary insurance coverage for a short period of time you might think you're fine to go with the bare minimum. Don't make this decision lightly. Definitely look at all the factors involved and potential for financial loss as well. Certain vehicles carry more risk of serious damage and certain seasons and driving conditions increase your risks as well. Think of how you'll be using that vehicle. While it may not seem too risky to simply add liability at the bare minimum, hindsight is 20/20. Hopefully you won't go back and analyze that decision with regrets.
The number of uninsured Arizona motorists are expected to be in the double digits, especially in the current economy where many people are having financial difficulties. Some have let their insurance policies lapse but do continue to drive their cars, SUVS, and trucks. If you're in an accident with them, even if you're just signing up for a one day policy for temporary auto insurance, Arizona drivers who are insured could wind up without reimbursement for their expenses because the accident happened with someone without coverage. Even if someone has the minimum coverage, what if your expenses are higher than that ,500? Buying extra insurance coverage can put your mind at ease, even if it's just for temporary auto insurance.
Arizona residents have a lot of options when it comes to where to buy insurance. Consumers who spend time doing a bit of homework can get a really great deal. Not only can you get competitive rates for your temporary insurance but you can also get more than your money's worth. Even if you just need insurance for a month's time, say, to put your heavy duty awintera car on the road for the month with the heaviest snowfall, you could save money by shopping around for the best policy at the best price.Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTION:
Where can I buy cheap auto insurance or temporary auto insurance in the United States?
I know u can do it in the UK...but can't find any insurance agency in the US to do it.-
ANSWER:
The best thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent. Look in the phone book for the PIA or Big I (Trusted Choice) logos and they should be able to help you.In Texas, we have several companies that will write a 30 day policy - but that is the LEAST amount of time for issue.
If you are hear as a tourist, you can purchase coverage on a rental car. I have had foreign workers that come and find it more cost effective to purchase a car for the period they are here and then sell it when they return to Europe.
In that case, 30 day policies would probably be what you need. You could always start a 6 month plan on payments and then just quit paying when you leave the country.
Good luck and I hope this helps!

QUESTION:
Temporary auto insurance for move?
I'll be moving to Oakland California from Phoenix Arizona and I was wondering if there is such a thing as temporary auto insurance. My vehicle is not currently insured, but I can get a temporary registration from AZ DMV. That would allow me to drive my car for my move. I will be pulling a small utility trailer. I don't want to get a full 6 month insurance policy because as soon as I get to Oakland, I won't be driving the car at all. Are there any insurance companies that offer a really short policy (2 days, or maybe a week) ? I only need insurance for those two days, and so that I can get temporary registration from the DMV. Does anyone know if such a thing exists, and if so what company?-
ANSWER:
Sorry, but there's no such thing as temporary auto insurance. You will need to get the 6 month policy. However, you can cancel your insurance at any time. You will probably get about 3 months premium back if you pay for the entire term up front. If you only pay for 1 month and cancel after a week you'll probably owe them.

QUESTION:
Temporary car auto insurance in California?
Hi guys,I thought of using my friend's car for a month and half since he will be out of station. I was wondering what would it take or rather how to address the insurance issue. Is it possible to get a temporary insurance for a month or is it possible to add my name on to his insurance for a short term? Either ways, how much would it cost ! Also would be great if you guys can enlighten me on some of the providers here.
-
ANSWER:
You cannot get a temporary insurance policy. You can be added to your friends insurance as an additional driver. The insurance companies don't do it short term but will take you off when you don't need it anymore. The cost will depend upon your driving record, age, the limits of the current policy and the company. You may not have to do anything. If you have car insurance of your own you can call your agent to see if you are covered driving any car. Also, your friend can call his agent to see if he is covered if he allows someone else to drive his car. Most decent policies will cover you driving any car and will cover any driver driving your car with permission. Farmers, State Farm and Allstate have these type of policies, however, cave men policies don't work this way.

QUESTION:
Can I get short-term/temporary auto insurance?
I just bought a car last night and I need to take it in for an emissions test.I want to have insurance so I can drive it to enforcement but I don't want any long term insurance in case it doesn't pass emissions.
Is there a reputable company that will insure it for only a week or so?
I live in the US, btw.
-
ANSWER:
There is no such thing as short term for a week or so insurance on a vehicle. You can either insure it, and cancel the insurance if you decide to junk it if it won't pass emissions, or you can tow or trailer it to the testing station. If you happen to be in CA, the seller must supply you with emission testing less than 90 days ago.

QUESTION:
Auto Insurance for tourists in the US?
I am just visiting th US and will be staying for 4 months.. I have an international drivers license. But people keep telling me that i need to have auto insurance before i can drive..
Where can i buy temporary insurance which will enable me to drive around safely-
ANSWER:
If you'll be renting cars, public liability insurance is included in the base rate. You will be held responsible for any damage to the vehicle unless you take the waiver and pay the additional fee. Many credit cards offer this coverage as a cardholder benefit, read your cardholder agreement to be sure.If you will be driving the cars of friends or relatives, they are already insured -- or at least they should be. Car insurance covers the car and all licensed drivers who have the owner's permission to operate the vehicle. You don't need any additional insurance in that case.
Some travel insurance policies provide additional cover; check with your travel agent before you leave home. Travel insurance isn't very popular in the US and it may be difficult or impossible to find once you arrive.

QUESTION:
Auto Insurance when buying New Vehicle?
What is procedure on obtaining Auto Insurance when you buy a new vehicle and have no present insurance account setup?Does dealer offer temporary insurance until you can get quotes from a few companies?
-
ANSWER:
If you know the vehicle you are going to be purchasing, go get some quotes online, or if you know who you will be insuring with - go purchase your insurance first. The car dealer WILL NOT release the vehicle to you until they have solid proof of insurance in their hands.I bought a new car last January - after turning in a company car, so thus I had no personal auto insurance first. I negotiated my price with the dealer, and set up a date to pick up my car. The morning before, I met with my insurance agent, paid for my premium and provided them the year, make, model of the vehicle (if possible, get them the VIN too), and I received an insurance card. Now if you don't know what type of vehicle you are going to purchase - pick a carrier/agent - have their number with you when you go to the dealer. Make sure they will be open to write you a policy when you purchase your vehicle, and while the dealer is getting their paperwork together, you call the insurance company and purchase your policy - it doesn't increase the time you'll spend at the dealer by too much longer.
Good luck.

QUESTION:
AUTO INSURANCE over charge! what to do? am in US?
Auto insurance rip off! what to do?
My sister bought a car and needed a temporary insurance at the dealership before she could take delivery of the new car.We saw AUTO INSURER flier called TALRO INSURANCE and called. The one month quote was just over 0, still higher than rates at other bigger and reputable companies and very low coverage.
anyway, 3 days later, we called and later wrote to request to cancel the policy and refund the amount.
She never received refund check and instead kept receiving monthly bills.
so after numorous calls, She receives a check for only .
She was supposed to receive over 0 as she only used 3 days of the 30 days policy.
We call them and she was told that they took out for broker fees.
She called her AMEX card customer service rep to dispute that 0 charge and AMEX credited the amount to her card. Now, can she just go ahead and use/deposit the only check amount from that rip off AUTO INSURANCE company to her checking account or don't use that refund check from the AUTO INSURANCE COMPANY ?
Will AMEX's 0 credit be permanent or will cancel it if AMEX finds out that I used the refund check from the AUTO INSURANCE company?
What's your advice?

is my illinois auto insurance valid in the state of utah?
I Currently Live in Illinois But I'll Be Moving Temporary to Orem Utah, from 6 mos up to 1 year, but since i know i will be coming back i was planning on keeping my current insurance and the car registered to my illinois address... but im really unaware if my insurance which covers liability in illinois will be valid in utah or not... thanks-
ANSWER:
It's going to depend upon why you are moving to Utah. You may even have to get a UT driver's license along with UT insurance.Check with your insurance company. They can tell you the truth. You may even want to change it to UT for cheaper rates, if it is cheaper.
If you maintain a residence in IL and pay rent (or own the home), you'll be like many snow birds here in AZ (and FL). They live here for 6 mos, then move back north for 6 mos. No changes in their driver's license or insurance because they maintain two residences.

QUESTION:
Can I issue a complaint on my auto insurance company?
I recently purchased a vehicle and drove off with temporary insurance from the dealer. It's about to expire and I have been receiving calls both on my cell and work. I understand that they want me to continue to have insurance from the same company so they keep calling back to inform me of the different quotes they have found. And I don't mind having the same insurance.BUT just the other day my co-worker told me they had called work and asked for me. I was off that day. So, the proper thing for the guy to do would be to leave a message and hang up. Instead, he asked what kind of a job is it, where is it located and had offer her a discount if she would switch her insurance company in exchange for OUR discount. Not only that but the guy also was giving a few personal information about my purchase of the car and insurance.
Yes, she is my co-worker but that doesn't matter. He shouldn't be talking to anyone about my insurance or car purchase but myself.
I am really upset! Should I issue a complaint and if so, what can I say about this issue?
-
ANSWER:
Every state has an insurance commissioner who handles complaints regarding insurance companies. Most have online complaint forms you can submit.
A Department of Insurance complaint is a big deal and gets a company's attention.
That is what I would do.

QUESTION:
Avis Rental Car Insurance. Buy or not?
I have visitors coming from Asia and will need to rent a car for 10 days. Should they buy temporary auto insurance from Avis? or from someone else, and what coverage exactly will they have to get?-
ANSWER:
They should check first to see if and what they are covered for with their own personal auto insurance and their credit card coverage. This may be limited because they are renting in a different country. If they are not covered for the vehicle than they should definitely look at purchasing the optional damage waiver that is sold at the rental counter. Hope this helps!

QUESTION:
Am i aloud to drive my friend's car despite not having auto insurance of my own (i only have a valid drivers)?
Here is a curious scenerio....what if:I have a valid driver's licence but i don't own a car of my own so i dont have auto insurance...i decide to visit my friend who then gives me permission to drive her car. In the event of driving her car i get into an accident.....What is the aftermath of this? Since i am not insured of any kind, but was given permission to drive my friend's car (who is insured) then what happens?
Am i viewed as a temporary "secondary driver" on her car while she is the official ongoing "primary driver" and so her insurance premiums will go up? But then, what kind of fault claims go against me since i have no insurance of any kind?
Am i even allowed to drive her car without having my own auto insurance already?
-
ANSWER:
Depends on her policy. Her policy might cover the accident, and it might not.Depending on what state you live in, your parents' policies could be called into play, OR an auto policy for any member of the house you live in.
In any case, if you are sued directly for any damages you caused someone else, her policy will NOT respond - you are not a named driver, a named household member, or a named insured.
In most states, on most policies, it WILL cover the accident if you do not have regular use of her car - ie, if you're not a household member, and don't use the car more than once a month.
Regarding her insurance - it might go up, they might require her to list you as an operator, they could possibly cancel her . . . there are WAY too many variables for an accurate answer, she should be asking these questions of HER AGENT, who will have specific answers.

QUESTION:
Need help with auto insurance!!!?
Hello everyone. I'm from Sacramento/Elk Grove, California. I'm currently insured with Bristol West Auto Insurance for the past 3 years. I'm planning to switch auto insurance because it's really really hard to get a hold of customer service. And when you do, (after 1 hour of holding) they'll put you on hold some more, or even tell you they'll call you back. Which they never will. My point is BW customer service is very very crappy. I need help choosing an auto insurance company that's reputable but yet affordable. Considering the fact that I have an SR22 on file, low rates is my main focus. The lower, the better. I'm planning to insure 4 vehicles (1 is temporary until car get smogged) and 3 drivers. We all have good driving record, inspite of my dropped DUI case. Three of the cars are years '91 and under. Mines is a '98. If anyone have any information (site/link/etc.) or knows any good auto insurance company, please do let me know. Thanks in advance and any input in greatly appreciated.-
ANSWER:
Contact your nearest AAA office for a quote on the AAA Choice policy. This policy is specifically designed for folks in your situation who are price conscious and we'll file the SR22 for you. Go to csaa.com to find the nearest office to you. If you attempt a quote online the rate will be for th AAA Select policy which is much more expensive. You can only get a Choice quote from an agent.

QUESTION:
auto insurance fraud?
i just changed auto insurance. my prev. insurance premium has gone up so high i can't afford it anymore so i changed companies. i just signed up with this co. who offered lower monthly rates. i agreed to the quotes, gave my credit card to them (they slid it on the credit card reader (this is for my first payment), then the guy made another copy of my card -this time under a machine -like the older models that they pass a metal on top so the card would make a carbon copy on a sheet of paper-this he said is for next months payment). after which i signed a piece of paper and they gave me a temporary id card (printed on a sheet of copy paper) . its been a week since that happened and they have not sent me the actual policy. how do i know they really covered my insurance or is this a scam? i got them form the internet, and i went to bbb site where theres no bad writeup for their co. seems legit, but why are they taking too long to send the policy??-
ANSWER:
Contact them and ask. No way anyone here would know, especially since you asked without giving your location or the name of the company you went with.

QUESTION:
What should I do about my auto insurance when in between permanent addresses?
I am a Florida resident--born and raised. I am out of state for a total of 3 months for BUSINESS purposes using my car. Due to my landlord short-selling my condo, I no longer have a permanent address in Florida while I am away and won't until I get back and find a new place. However, the place I am at now is only temporary for two months, then I'll be in another location for a month and then back to Florida, my home. The bulk of my property is still in storage in Florida. What should I do about updating my auto insurance? If I use the house I stayed at for 5 months in between moving out of my condo and traveling to where I am now which is also the SAME house I will be at when I return to Florida and am able to find my own place, is that appropriate to use as my new auto insurance address? (Please no snippy comments about how I should have changed my address to my friend's address in Florida months ago since, at that time, there wasn't any idea how long I'd be staying there--it was on a day-to-day notice that ended up lasting 5 months.)
Also, I don't know what to do about my driver's license. I'm definitely not getting a license that is not a Florida one! To keep changing it every month or two for the next 4 months is absurd!-
ANSWER:
Where do you get your mail? THAT is your address. We live in a mobile society, so what you are asking, really isn't that strange. The insurance company wants your address for a couple of reasons: 1.) So they can contact you with modifications to your policy, rate changes and Updates/disclaimers. 2.) Your address, and the places you drive affect the Risk and thereby the cost of your policy. It is important that they know where and how to contact you, but that's easy. Simply give them the address where you lived, notify them that you are in transit, and be sure to do an address change with them when yu get settled in the new place. Let them know that you'll be out of the home area "On Business" for "x" months, and keep your payments up-to-date. That's it. They don't need to know every mile you travel, only where they can reach you, and if you are still their customer. Call the company, don't talk to a clerk, talk to an "Agent". Tell her/him what yuo have told us, and get their recommendation. If you have been a good, loyal customer for any length of time, they will work with you to see that that relationship is maintained. Good Luck.

QUESTION:
state auto insurance vs. state of registration?
I am currently working a temporary job away from home in another state not my permanent residence (I am living there for the term of the employment). While there I bought another vehicle and registered it in that state and when insuring it moved my other car to the policy not realizing this could cause a problem. Now on my first vehicle, which was registered in my home state, the home state has refused to renew the registration because it carries out of state insurance. However, I also don't own the first vehicle, it is owned by my parents who are a resident of my home state, I just use it and pay the insurance. So unless I am missing anything, It looks like I am basically going to be forced to register that vehicle in a state where I do not have residence or cancel my insurance policy and get insurance for only that vehicle through a provider in my home state. Is this it or are there other options? I'm confused because they let me renew last year even though I had the out of state insurance, but I had switched during that year so maybe they considered me part-time or something.I would like to avoid changing any state registrations for the time being, because this process is expensive and complicated between the two states in question. Someone told me the cheapest option might be to get a minimum liability policy on the car in my home state so they will give me registration, but I have never heard of that and I'm not sure if that is ok (having two insurance policies on the same vehicle)? I am not trying to play tricks or loophole anything here, I just want to figure out my options and get this done without costing me a lot of money or time.
-
ANSWER:
Your permanent place of residence is where your vehicle(s) needs to be registered and insured. If you are not a permanent resident where you are working your car(s) should be registered and insured back in your home state.
And you can't insure a car you do not own. If your parents own it and their name is on the title, the registration and insurance obligation is on them. Now you can pay for the insurance and such, but it has to be in the owners name.
Now then all that said. Unless the state has laws where if you live and work for a set amount of time in their state that you have to change over the registration/insurance then that's what you have to do with the car there. The other one would still be registered/insured in your home state.
Problem with a liability policy is it will get you a registration, but you have no coverage on the car, it's all for the other person/car in an accident. So if someone uses it and wrecks, or say a tree falls on it, you get nothing. You should have full coverage at the lowest allowable limits to do you any good. And if the car is just sitting there, raise the deductible amount way up to lower your rates.
But you will have to pay that deductible if something happens.

QUESTION:
Whats a temporary credit card and how does it work?
I need a credit card to pay for my car insurance, whats a temporary credit card? Is it prepaid, so I have to have money on it to use it? Or is it just like a credit card, like I'll pay the bill at the end of the month? Because I need to buy auto insurance but won't have to money to pay for it until next week so I'm trying to get a credit card so I can just pay the monthly bill. I'm 18 and a college student so I don't have any credit history yet, I'm trying to build it. Would a temporary credit card work in my situation or do I need a normal credit card?-
ANSWER:
Temporary card sounds like a pre-paid card, if you need to pay it now then you'd need a credit card. You may have to apply for secured credit card, or an unsecured one with a low balance. Check out creditcards.com and bankrate.com to review banks and credit cards. Good luck.

QUESTION:
moving from tx with expired california tags is there a temporary tag i can get from tx dmv or from ca?
i also have valid tx auto insurance-
ANSWER:
I don't know of any temporary tags.If the car is currently registered in CA, you should pay the fee on line with a credit card, so the record will show it's been paid. The police have access to DMV records.
Go here to find the fees and penalties you owe: https://mv.dmv.ca.gov/FeeCalculatorWeb/renewalForm.do
You need your VIN# or license number.
You may not get the tags in time for your trip, but the DMV data base will show it paid and once paid, penalties will stop adding up.

QUESTION:
If car insurance is a mandate, and home owners insurance why are people so against a healthcare mandate?
You are mandated to have auto insurance, and home owners insurance, and now in some places rental insurance..Everyone does it..Well most everyone..So if your ok with that mandate why are you opposed to a health insurance mandate that would guarantee everyone gets care..Say you were walking down the street, and we actually trip over each others feet. Not knowing whos fault it was. We both break our leg..You having insurance gets to go the hospital have temporary set. go to a orthopedic have it casts, follow-up care, and then therapy. If I was uninsured I too would go to the hospital with temp set, and that would be the end of my treatment. Why is this ok to you?
I say this because I was without insurance for a bit, and actually broke my wrist. They told me to hold it stilll for three months even when I was sleeping..NO cast No splint..That is not possible. I bought a splint at the store, and wore it for three months and it never healed right..All because I had not insurance and a cast and follow-up care would have been over 2500.00 up front...
Some people cannot get health coverage period, and some people who have had a bad illness are priced out of all plans its not that they aren't willing to buy it they can't. So if everyone gets care why are you so angry about it..its as if you think you are better than someone else.
Yes alpine insurance would only be required if you have a soul and beating heart. I think most of you could get out of it *winning*-
ANSWER:
Well said. I actually know someone who tore up both his knees. He found
a state program that paid most of the cost for surgery and HE IS STILL OPPOSED
to mandated insurance. Go figure. People are cheap and self-centered and don't
give a crap about anyone else. How do you get a mortgage without homeowners insurance? Do these posters think
the banks are idiots? You can't by a car on credit without full coverage.

there can be no other policy in effectif you have two policies running at the same time
one of them needs to refund you
by law the last policy you start is the one in effectThis Law is because without this Law
people could could get 10 policies on a car
then go total it and make money

QUESTION:
Getting married and moving... have insurance questions! Help?
My Fiance and I are getting married in a few weeks... I have been on my parent's health insurance since I have been a full-time student, but I understand that after I get married I won't be covered any longer. My job isn't transferrable, and I'm moving from Texas to Washington State within a few months (he's already there). My Fiance's job doesn't offer health insurance that I know of, so we will need CHEAP temporary coverage... any ideas of how much it would cost or where to go? Also, My Dad technically owns my car, but I primarily drive it, so will I need to have the title transferred? And, how expensive is liability only auto insurance going to be? After you get married how would insurance know about it, just if I get my name changed right away? Should I wait until I move states to get the different coverage on my own? On a side note... no I dont need lectures from anyone about waiting to get married and all that. Just be nice and offer some suggestions, thanks I appreciate it!-
ANSWER:
congrats.. i've been married 3 years now and also have 2 kids from the marriage and it's great.
sorry you have to move away from family though!
for insurance.. see for sure if they don't offer any, but if you want temp. ins. just to be covered right awhile while you sort it all out.. you could get Ameriplan USA.. for basic health it'd be 30 bucks a month for your and your fiancee together!
it's a temp option until you find something through work..
with the car.. you can drive it in another state.. while it still belongs to your dad.. the best idea is to have him sell it to you for a buck.. and then wait till you get to WA before changing everything because you'll have to get new plates new drivers licenese.. and auto insurance..
if you kept it in your dad's name you would have to keep the tx plates.
if you need more info, i'm willing to chat with you! i've moved between 4 different states in the last 3 years..so i'm a pro! My husband worked for menards and got transferred a lot for promotions .. my phone number is at the website under contact info! =0) have a great weekend!

QUESTION:
My ex wife is using the car that my daughter has borrowed from me for a temporary use just for a day.?
My ex wife is using the car that my daughter has borrowed from me for a temporary use just for a couple of days. Neither of them are insured under my auto policy nor do they carry any auto insurance policy of their own. In other words, they're not returning car despite repeated reminders, keep using car without any insurance and despite repeated warnings. What are my legal options? I'm thinking of filing a police complaint and hire a towing service to repossess the car from their physical location, would it be a good idea? It has been more than six months now that this is going on. I'm concerned, looking for help. Any legal course that can be suggested?-
ANSWER:
six months? seriously?calling the cops is long past due.
when someone gets in an accident, you will be the one to pay. It's your car after all. the liability will be on you.
but all in all, you got played. your daughter used you and should no longer be trusted in any way shape of form. tough love but it sounds like it's much needed
sorry, I know that's got to be hard
OR
Sign the car over to your daughter and walk away from both of them (your ex forever and your daughter until she grows up, and I mean A LOT) Don't get caught up with your daughter until she straightens out her life no matter how things go. your daughter betraying you like this is horrible, I feel for you.

QUESTION:
Paypal Chargeback help?
About a month ago I was looking on yahoo answers for questions about car insurance and I noticed two accounts where constantly mentioning Landa Insurance (www.landainsurance.com) and I looked into that company. The website is obviously seedy and they take paypal, etc. I called the guy on his phone number (which i found out is a cell phone) and he provided me with temporary insurance cards and explained that he is an underwriter for Continental Group Insurance.
I paid 9 for the full coverage auto insurance.
After I got the final product i noticed these things are really, really poorly made so I started making phone calls to Continental Group.
End result CGI never sells car insurance, they've never heard of Landa Insurance, nor do they have an agent named Bob Warren, and the insurance policy I was sold matched a medicare supplement policy they issued.
First I called the local dallas police department where this guy was operating out of and filed a complaint, second I disputed it with paypal.
Paypal responded that they cannot guarantee virtual goods. I bounced several emails back and forth with them explaining it wasnt virtual but all I got was repetitive copy and paste emails talking about ebay.
So bottom line, I ordered a charge back on my mastercard.
Now today I get the email that they are looking into with the seller.
How is paypal going to react on this and how long until this is closed?
-
ANSWER:
You are protected under paypal. Since they were selling "insurance" I am sure your not the only customer they have scammed. The people who post on here are the ones running this scam... It could take paypal up to another 30 days if you do not keep on them. You need to call there customer service number and talk to a person. Keep doing this until you get results.

QUESTION:
Will Obama fail to save American capitalism from itself?
Because that's what he's clearly trying to do, I believe.-- The financial bailout plan (following in the steps of the Bush financial bailout plan)
-- temporary government takeover of the auto companies (plus big government subsidies for the auto companies)
-- the half-bungled plan to reform health care insurance & make it affordable (while not allowing the government to compete with, or take over, the private insurance companies)
-- even Obama's badly timed effort to promote more offshore oil drilling, as a way of paying off the big oil companies in return for their agreeing to climate change legislation --
All of these Obama government initiatives are aimed at fixing the most self-destructive parts of this economic system, without actually turning the USA into a real socialist society where the government owns most of the economy and there are no more rich private investors.
But can Obama actually succeed in reforming capitalism, regulating it here & deregulating it there, trying to clean up its worst environmental and human disasters without actually ending the domination of American society by big money?
Can he succeed in uniting the "red states" and the "blue states" around some compromise solution that will satisfy laid-off American workers, angry Louisiana fishermen, nervous environmentalists and greedy oil oil company executives & bankers, all at once?
Or is he attempting a band-aid solution as a cure for terminal bone cancer, suggesting that nothing can be done?
-
ANSWER:
Modern America is not the America of the 1950s.The system was never designed to handle an interdependent world financial system stradled by giant multinationals.
America has shifted from being a capitalist country built on small business to one guided by giant, powerful corporations. Power has also shifted dramatically from elected officials to corporate leaders who also own most of the "free" media.
There is no easy answer on how to fix the system. But it is no longer working.

QUESTION:
Perhaps this is a silly question...?
I have a temporary permit and I'm 18 years old. I know that I could have just gotten my license but I don't know how to drive at all, so I figured I'd get a permit instead of trying to take the driving test without enough knowledge.Anyway, I was curious about auto insurance. I have a few questions. Keep in mind, I live in Ohio if that makes any difference.
1. I'm about to get a car put in my name, but it's in the shop right now, so I can't drive it. If I were to drive someone else's car, could I practice if they had insurance or would they have to let their insurance company know that I will be driving their car?
2. When I get the car into my name (which will be very soon), can I even get insurance with a permit?
3. If I can't get insurance with a permit, does that mean I can drive my car without insurance as long as I have a licensed driver over the age of 21 with me?
Please give me as much info as possible.
-
ANSWER:
I have family in Ohio, so I am familiar with the laws there (I myself live in Ontario, Canada). If you want to practice on someone else's car, ask them if their insurance covers any driver in the car? Some do, some don't. If not, ask them to come with you, if they won't, don't drive the car (if you get caught, it's jail sentence plus fine, plus lose permit!)Most insurance companies will not sell you insurance without a full license (unless another fully licensed person will be the only driver). If you really want to drive that car, get your parents to insure it for you under their policy, then you pay them. If you aren't talking to your parents, then get a friend to drive it home for you, then practice some and get a full license. That's the key.
And no, if you don't have insurance you must not drive your car at all, even if a licensed driver over 21 is with you. That's reckless driving + endangerment + jail sentence + fine + loss of permit + delay of getting real license. Plus no traveling out of state, no military service, no loans, no mortgages, a criminal charge almost makes you a bum on the street here!
Cops have computers in their cars that can check to see if your plates match your vehicle and if the owner has insurance. It is illegal to drive a vehicle without insurance so if they pull you over and you don't have insurance, kiss your car goodbye. You really will have a hard time getting it back and your insurance rates will triple when you try to get insurance then...
Get the full license, or get someone else to insure the car. This is the only way to legally drive it, and avoid future problems. I've seen what happened to a guy who went driving without a license & without insurance here (he got 5 years, plus that kills going out of the province & out of the country for him, he can't own a car, most companies won't hire him, and if he gets caught in anything else illegal, he'll go right back to jail. no defense, no questions asked.) I worked right next to him and he totalled the truck he was driving plus 3 others in head - tail chain collisions (mine was the 4th car in the line, missed mine by 3 inches).

QUESTION:
What is my charge and I hire a lawyers?
On March 2, 2010 I was involved in auto accident, it is not my fault. When the police checking for insurance and I didn;'t have insurance at the moment, he gave me a ticket. Right after I got home, I purchase the insurance online and pay for premium by EBT check withdraw. After purchase the insurance send me an email with my proof of coverage and my temporary insurance ID card. Couple day later they send me the original ID card. I have to go out of country for 1 months, when I came back check my mail and notice that the insurance company couldn't withdraw the money so I call them back and gave them credit card. SO today when I went to pay for my fine, gave them the copy of my insurance ID, and the clerk check and came back told me that my affect date is on April 6 not the date on the paper. I told her I didn;t know anything about it, and ask her how much I would have to pay for fine. She told me 0 but it will go on my permanent record, then advise me to talk to the DA . I agree and she gave me the number and told me to wait in line for next DA . I told my mom to wait inline while I was running to the car really quick and be right back. When I was outside, 4 police came and handcuff me took me to the back without telling me what I was charge for?? As one officer took me to the room, I ask him what I was charge for?? He didn't tell me except gave me the insurance card I gave to the clerk and told me to be quite.Next they search me and lock me in a room, and then 2 hours later release me because I told them I have a little baby at home . Gave me the case number tell me to call couple days to see when the warrent will be effected . And then turn my self in so and call bail bond to bond me out ??? What my question was it was honest mistake I didn't do it on purpose, I didn't know it . Should I hire a lawyer to represent me and how much would the lawyer would charge med for this?? QUESTION:
How to register an unregistered car, transfer ownership, and prices/actions involved?
This is kind of long, and I need somebody who really knows a lot about car registration to answer it:I live in California. I got my driver's permit on August 31, (2010), so I have about 6 months before I can go for my provisional license(I'll be 17 and a half years old on December 14, and I know I could just take the driving test when I turn 17.5, skipping the 6-month period and 50 driving hours, but I'd rather keep my permit for driving practice and so I don't have to pay for insurance just yet). With that being said, I AM ASSUMING I will set up a date so that I take my behind-the-wheel test as soon as the 6-month period ends, and also that I will pass it the first time I take it(keep this assumption in mind this whole article).
In the meantime, I want to register a car (Honda Accord '94) that my grandmother is giving me for free(in other worse not selling) so that I can start driving as soon as possible once I get my provisional license. The last time it was registered was under my grandmother's name, but it hasn't been registered for a few years. The license plate has DMV stickers from September 2007, so that was it's last registration period.
I know from basic research that in order to re-register a car, there's a fee. When a car isn't registered on time, there's a penalty fee. And when it isn't re-registered for years, there's bigger fees.
Also I'm pretty sure that by now, the car will probably need a smog check, tune-up, all that good stuff that mechanics can do. I know that at a local certified station I can get a smog-check, tune-up, and oil change for about . Maybe I should mention that THE CAR HASN'T BEEN DRIVEN OR EVEN TURNED ON IN A COUPLE YEARS, so if there's any other mechanical touch-ups it might need, please don't hesitate to mention them (however, I know that it doesn't need a new battery)
In order to get this car from my garage to the gas station, I could push it(it's not that far, less than half a mile down the street), but that's pretty strenuous, so I'm planning on jump-starting it and having someone drive it to the gas station to repair it. I think I saw somewhere that I need to fill out a temporary permit(like a one day permit or something) to allow it to be driven to a service station. Then after I get it repaired, it should be in good condition so that when it needs to be inspected for registration, it'll pass.
I also know that in order to register a car, one needs to show proof of insurance, which means if I were to get the car registered under my name, I need to apply for my own insurance. I also know that I can't apply for my own insurance until after I get my provisional license, which would mean I could only start getting my insurance at some point during or after March 2010.
If you took the time to read all of that, you're awesome and here are my questions:
1: Besides the jump-start, smog check, tune-up, and oil change, are there any other repair services this dormant car might need? If so, how much might those services cost?
2: Can someone explain how an adult I know(I can't legally do this because I'm an unlicensed minor) can apply for some form of a permit to drive this unregistered car down to our local service station?
3: How do I get ownership of the Honda transferred from my grandmother to me?
4: Once I legally own the car and have gotten my own form of auto insurance, how do I register it under my name?
5: About how much money will it run me(because I'm paying for everything) to have this vehicle re-registered after the few years it hasn't been registered? If there isn't a definite price, please give me the price range.
All answers need to follow California State law. Thanks for the help.

ANSWER:
A couple of questions need to be answered before accurate info can be given to you.
First though, I hope you are not functioning under the false assumption that you can simply take your driving test once you turn 17 1/12. You will still need to complete dt if your taking the test before age 18.
Did your grandma put the vehicle on pno status?
If so did she make sure to keep the vehicle on her property?
Does she have the title?A couple of other things: Insurance is not required for a transfer of ownership. Tune up and oil change may not be required, but the vehicle will need to be driven around a bit before it will pass smog. a one day moving permit may be obtained at the "start here" window at any dmv. For reg fees go to dmv website to the fee calculator.

QUESTION:
I am a plaintiff in an auto accident case that was filed in the Calif State court but want to challenge the?
constitutionality of California prop 213 (civ c 3333.4) in the federal court as the company car I was driving at the time of accident didn't have insurance but the police report is in my favor. Previous California court challenges against Prop 213 failed to prove that U.S citizens' constitutional right of equal access to courts is being denied by the California Insurance Industry. Could a federal court issue a temporary restraining order against Calif CC 3333.4 pending challenges, or find it in violation of multiple parts of the federal constitution, or could the case be transferred to the federal court for diversity or other reasons? The primary damages here is not the soft tissue injuries as all of those that I interviewed who could be a sample of the jury admitted that they could not put a price on that important family event that I missed as a result of this accident. Any ideas how I could take this case to a jury or restore the federal constitution in California?-
ANSWER:
As much as we would both like such a process to be available to every Joe Citizen, you need a lawyer for this. You need to amend your complaint to add the government as a defendant, add the constitutional arguments, and petition for removal to federal court for the presence of federal subject matter (the constitutional argument), OR you may need to file a separate suit in federal court. Rules of civil procedure are set up to force a plaintiff to get it right the first time to whatever extent is possible, so if you are already the plaintiff, you may have missed the bus.
A federal judge CAN issue a TRO barring enforcement of a law, but you need to show you have a credible argument, and that you and others will suffer irreparable harm if it is continued to be enforced during the trial, and that the state will suffer less or no irreparable harm if it is enforced during the trial.
You need someone experienced with civil and constitutional law and civil procedure in CA to be able to answer questions like:
Whether or not you can do that at this stage of your case, I don't know.
Who in the government do you need to sue? The governor? Atty Gen? Sec of State? Sec of Transportation?
How do you craft your constitutional argument to differentiate yourself from all those other previous challenges, plus whatever similar challenges have failed?

QUESTION:
Should I beg for my old job back?
I quit a job that I did not like but paid pretty well in another state due to family obligations. Well I haven't been able to find full-time or part-time work in all most three months, so I started working temporary today. And with health, auto, and renters insurance coming due I need to get a job. Before I left they said they might be able to make it to where I could work in my home state but I declined because of my family obligations. Anyway should I call my old boss and beg him to hire me back to a job that I wasn't very passionate about or should I continue to work temporary until I find a job that I really am passionate about? Thanks!
Oh, my family obligation was to help take care of my grandmother but I can't handle it by myself so we are getting some professionals to help watch after her. Thank God for her Union benefits. So I don't have anything to keep me here other than my family. But I would be able to see them on my days off. Lucky for me I live near an airport.-

QUESTION:
Is it legal to drive in Ontario with International driving permit after residing for more than 3 years?
Background:
I am a temporary resident in Ontario (international student) for more than 3 years. I have been renting cars almost once a month since 2008 using my International driving permit. All rental agents accepted my international driving permit without any question asked.Problem:
Unfortunately, the car i rented last got damaged (vandalism) when it was parked in the apartment parking lot. I had TD VISA gold auto rental insurance to cover the repair cost.
TD insurance said that they will reject my claim because I don't have Ontario driving license especially that i resided in Ontario for 3 years. However, In Ministry of Transportation (MOT) website, it says:
"If you are from another country and visiting Ontario for more than three months, you need an International Driver's Permit from your own country or you may have to apply for an Ontario driver's licence, depending on your length of stay."
http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/visiting.shtmlTherefore, MOT says that I can drive for more than 3 months with International Driver's Permit...
Question:
TD insurance is waiting for my reply and I am not sure how to reply to them =(
Is the MOT statement written above enough to convince them?
Please advise me on what to do...-
ANSWER:
I looked over the CLDI Insurance Certificate from VISA (link below). It states with regards to who is an Insured:"...however, You and all drivers must otherwise qualify under and follow the terms of the rental contract and must be legally licensed and permitted to drive the rental vehicle under the laws of the jurisdiction in which the rental vehicle shall be used."
The question is whether you are considered legally licenced under Ontario law. In the section you quoted it states:
"...or you may have to apply for an Ontario driver's licence, depending on your length of stay."
Section 34 of the Highway Traffic Act states:
Exemption as to non-residents, licensing requirements
34. (1) Section 32 and any regulation made thereunder do not apply to any person who is,
(a) a resident of any other province of Canada, who is at least sixteen years of age and has complied with the law of the province in which he or she resides as to the drivers of motor vehicles; or
(b) a resident of any other country or state,
(i) who is at least sixteen years of age and is the holder of a valid International Driver’s Permit, or
(ii) who is at least sixteen years of age and has not resided in Ontario for more than three months in any one year and has complied with the law of the country or state in which he or she resides as to the licensing of drivers of motor vehicles. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 34 (1).At this point you would need to speak to a lawyer to get a proper interpretation of this section. Paragraph b) subsection i) seems to indicate you are properly licensed if you have an IDP, however you are in violation of subsection ii) if you've been living in Ontario for more than three months. I'm not entirely sure if you have to be in compliance with both since subsection i) ends with "or". If I were you I would go down to a Service Ontario desk and confirm with them if you are considered legally licensed under Ontario law. If they say yes then you can speak to the adjuster of the claim and point out that according to their rules you are considered legally licensed "...under the laws of the jurisdiction in which the rental vehicle shall be used."

QUESTION:
Should We Help PPL who Lost thier Jobs?
Lawmakers come back to work Monday facing a tough decision: Whether it's more important to spend money to keep the economic recovery going or to watch their pennies. One camp, made up mostly of Democrats, is arguing that Congress must spend to help cash-strapped states and people who are hurting from the downturn.
One camp, made up mostly of Democrats, is arguing that Congress must spend to help cash-strapped states and people who are hurting from the downturn.
Lawmakers don't have much time to argue. They'll be in session for a month before leaving for the extended August recess. And when they return after Labor Day, they'll be wrapped up in the November elections and likely will get little done.
More than 2.1 million people are estimated to have lost their weekly jobless checks because Congress has not extended the deadline to file for federal unemployment insurance.
Lawmakers have been trying to pass a bill that would push the deadline until the end of November. But Senate Republicans have blocked the measure.
The recession killed off 7.9 million jobs. It's increasingly likely that many will never come back.
The government jobs report shows that businesses have slowed their pace of hiring to a relative trickle. "The job losses during the Great Recession were so off the chart, that even though we've gained about 600,000 private sector jobs back, we've got nearly 8 million jobs to go," said Lakshman Achuthan, managing director of Economic Cycle Research Institute.
Excluding temporary Census workers, the economy has added fewer than 100,000 jobs a month this year -- a much faster and stronger jobs recovery than occurred following the last two recessions in 2001 and 1991.
But even if that pace of hiring were to double immediately, it would take until 2013 to recapture the lost jobs. And the labor market very likely doesn't have years before it gets hit with the shock of the inevitable next economic downturn.
One of the big problems is that many of workers who have lost jobs were in industries that are not likely to recover their former strength.
"We've got the wrong people in the wrong place with the wrong skills," said John Silvia, chief economist with Wells Fargo Securities. He said construction workers in California or Florida and auto workers in Michigan will have to relocate and retrain to find new jobs.
"As many as half the people who lost their jobs will have to find something else to do," said Silvia.
The nation's working-age population grows by about 150,000 people a month. So the hole is deeper than it looks.
It would take the creation of 10.6 million jobs immediately for the same percentage of the population to be working as was the case three years ago.
So Should we help those who have done nothing wrong and lost thier Job Thats never comming Back?
Or Should we Stop Spending for these ppl?
Can you give me a star plz???

QUESTION:
Dealership won't send my title work to dmv out of state & I can't register the car or get tags, What do I do?
Im from Georgia and I recently came to New York to purchase a vehicle from a used dealership. The dealership was supposed to do a state to state transfer and send all of the paper work to the Georgia Tax Commissioner's. I Put ,000 down on a 2008 dodge charger on march 19, 2011. This is the first vehicle I've ever financed and I thought I had all of the correct paper work to get my tags (I have my bill of sale, temporary registration/tags, warranty , and Insurance). I go to the Georgia tax commissioner's on april 16th for my tags and the customer service told me my vehicle wasn't even showing up in the system, I need to have a copy of the title, and to contact the dealer and have him fax it, she also told me that the copy should have been given to me during the sale. I call the Tim (dealership owner) and ask him "what's going on, why isn't the car showing up in the system" and he's like "that's because you haven't faxed the emissions test to the lien holders". He never told me I needed to do that during the sale! I went ahead and faxed the emissions and waited about a week... still my car isn't showing up in the system. the Tax commissioner's told me this time I would just have to deal with te dealer at this point they can't issue me tags for a car that's not showing up in the system. Two months pass as I consistently keep trying to call Tim and the finance company to see what I can do to speed up the process. Every time I call the dealership Tim's secretary tells me either he's not in, he will return my call, or he's off for the day. The finance company basically keep telling me it's nothing they can do I have to go straight to the dealer and get whatever I need, they're not very helpful but they continue to take auto payments out of my account every month for a car I can't legally drive! I came all the way back up to NY on June 30th to speak with Tim face to face & when I get there he tells me my tags are on the way from georgia to his dealership and they should be there by next week (every time I call the georgia tax commissioners they tell me the vehicle isn't in the system). He seemed nervous and really pushy for me to leave he's like "Amy these type of things take time when you're doing a state to state transfer", I asked him if I could at least get another 30 day tag and he said "No, it's illegal in the state of New York to issue a second thirty day tag". Is he lying? I'm basically stuck here in NY waiting on my tags to be delivered. What can I do to get the tags? I went to the police to ask and they told me the only thing I can do is take it to civil court. All I really want to do is get the tags what can I simply do to get this man to do his Job?-
ANSWER:
I'm like, basically, like turn him in to the NY authorities. ( The consumer protection office) basically. he is like, playing games. like basically, he probably pocketed the money he charged you and basically never, like sent the money in....like basically

Their abuse of us resulted in my father who has Alzheimer's ending up in a nursing home over 500 miles away from us due to all the changes he was subjected to although they knew from day one his health was very fragile! They expected us to be able to rent a place for 4 adults my parents, my husband, myself, and our then 4 year old son, and 3 small pedigree dogs. The temporary accomodations adjustor Heather Stone told me, " We don't care where you go, who you live with, if you have to get seperate houses or kennel your dogs. You have to get out of the motel". There were my elderly parents my mom was on a walker, I am totally disabled. And about 2 weeks before this my husband started passing an enormous amount of blood in his urine along with fist sized blood clots. When I took him to the ER they found a mass in his bladder. None of it mattered. He had surgery October 26, 2009, the 2 days prior to his surgery I had to move my family by myself. Mind you nothing mattered to All State I begged, I pleaded for them to give me until November 9, 2009 to be able to move into a 2 bedroom apartment. The money was there to pay for our additional living expenses! Yet we were forced to split up our family and into a one bedroom apartment. They removed everything we owned from our home, garage, and sunroom! They disposed of, stole, and had our things in an unsecure sight where even more was stolen! And from our furnished 3554 sq. ft. home we ended up with everything left in a 10' X 30' storage unit we have had to pay for. We are paying a mortgage payment that includes insurance payments to All State! They have renewed our policy and were paid from July 31, 2010- July 31, 2011. They get auto paid each month for car and life insurance! We are strapped no furniture no nothing in a dump because we don't want to lose our home. Mind you all our bills were current and the reason of claim is idiotic so much so that a child can see it is nothing but a big sham to commit consumer fraud! Anyone who can help please check out Sakura Jade Esposito on Facebook. I don't want money, I don't want fame, I want our home fixed so we can move on! We can't afford to fix our home, because we have to pay rent on a total dump and on storage fees and keep up all the All State policies! They have been paid every month. What happened was either a defective stove or human error on the cook stove! Please don't keep on going! Just please imagine this your home with your family and you leave for a medical procedure and you come home thinking there was a home invasion, Instead there has been a fire. And from that moment your life turns into a horrible nightmare. The home you were preparing for a new family of adopted siblings is gone. The large family you dreamed of all your life was gone, and your husband a 30 year retired Navy Veteran is accused of causing a fire. By placing matches in a skillet of cooking oil! Only thing is the debris from above the stove is in the pan and the matches directly above the skillets in the cabinet fell at some point onto the debris. UNDERSTAND: ON TOP OF THE DEBRIS! And then they tell a company, " Go ahead get rid of the debris and start demoing." Only to send and adjustor to check the house progress and determine all evidence of the fire has been gutted and removed. Then turn around and the same adjustor claimed he did not give ServPro the authorization to do it. They refuse to pay them and you end up with not only a burnt home but a lien on your burnt home! Then you apply for a 2 bedroom apartment and are denied because you have a mortgage and a new lien on the home for non payment. And your credit is destroyed. How would you feel? No one seems to care to try to help us get the word out. Will you please help us? Thank you...-
ANSWER:
If you want media coverage you have to start locally - talk to all your local papers, radio stations, and television stations to get them to cover your story. Do a video if you can and post it on YouTube Once you get the ball rolling you'll have a better chance of it being picked up by national outlets.

QUESTION:
What are my options for my salvage car left in an autobody shop?
Hello,
I have a car crash last week and my auto was towed to a body shop and I am still waiting for the estimation. The left front of my car was damaged which makes the belt inside rubbing inside and so i assume it could not run. The guy told me that the cost may be very high. However, myy insurance does not cover the cost of damages in the accident. The used auto of similar type is selling 8000. What should I do if they estimate the cost of temporary repair to be more than 3000/4000?
If i do not want to repair at that cost, what can i do????
I am totally lost and I hope someone can really give me a direction.
thanks-
ANSWER:
Cut your losses and sell it to highest offer then buy a k car, there are real good ones that'll do the same service as an 8000 car.

QUESTION:
Registration for vehicle?
I had a ford contour with pa plate. The registration stick was to be up January 31, 2009. I bought a different vehicle off craigslist. I went to go buy it from a small lot with just a few cars, a small building for an office, and a sign that said **** auto sales. The guy that was selling it (same last name as the sign) was there to take the money. His father, well that's what he called him, was there to fill out the pink slip. The name as the agent on the pink slip was a different last name than the car lot guy's name. I had parked my contour and took the plate with us to get the new vehicle. I paid for the vehicle, then paid tax, transfer, title fees. The guy doing the pink slip asked if we wanted to pay for the registration being that it would be up. So, we paid an additional for the registration sticker to be renewed. This was on January 2, 2009. I called my insurance company and put insurance on the new car and took it off the contour. About two weeks later I got a letter in the mail from penndot stating that my insurance on the contour has lapsed and that I have until feb 2, 2009 to turn in my plate to them. I called them up and explained and they said that they have received no information from the guy who did the pink slip, nor the guy that sold the car. I mailed them a copy of the pink slip, like they asked, but when I was copying it, I noticed that the guy did not write on pink slip that the registration was renewed. I called penndot back and they said I would have to contact the seller and let him know that I need a temporary registration sticker. We have called him several times and he just keeps giving us the run around about why he hasn't sent any papers in to penndot yet. As of now, I cannot drive the vehicle because the registration sticker is not good and the pink slip doesn't say I paid for one. The guy that sold the car wanted me to come there and re-fill out a pink slip paper so it shows that I paid for the new registration but I have already sent a copy to penndot. Then he said he will meet me at leonard's auto tags and give the money back for the transfer, and title fee and I'll have to buy a new plate because the sticker ran out on this one. I don't understand what is going on can someone give me some kind of explaination as to why I have to get a new plate?-

QUESTION:
Should i go back to school or be content with my current job?
I will try to make this as short as possible. I am 27 and the mother of a 4 year old. I have worked off and on for a company in the aviation industy for a total of 6 years. I dropped out of school at the age of 16 to take care of my dying mother. I have been working full time jobs since. I never returned to school but got my GED. I have always wanted to go to college, but was never quite sure what i wanted to do. Currently, i have worked a total of 6 years in the aviation industry and have had no actual legitimate training. I started off at this company doing temporary data entry and it evolved into me working various positions. I have now advanced about as far as i can, and although i make a pretty decent wage, i am no longer satisfied. There are a lot of issues with the company...financial and otherwise. The company has gone through numerous changes in ownership and i have been laid off several times. There is absolutely no structure and the employee moral is very low. The company offers no health insurance or any other benefits and probably never will. The position i currently have there is very specific to that company and the skills i have acquired through that position would not transfer well to any other job in the event i were to be laid off yet again. This is my main concern. After being laid off from this company a couple years ago i went to work for a law office for about a year and a half and worked as a secretary. I found the job very challenging but rewarding and have always wondered if i should pursue a career as a paralegal. I love working in the aviation industry but i am not happy with the company i work for anymore and i live in a rural community with no other companies in this industry and i am not wanting to move or relocate to pursue a career in this industry elsewhere. SO MY QUESTION:I have been thinking about going to college to get my degree as a paralegal. I am very conflicted as to HOW i will do it though. My boyfriend (and daughter's father) was injured a few months ago in an auto accident and has been unable to work. My job is the main source of income and it has been tough to say the least...all the more reason why i want to have a more secure future in a profession that can offer better stability. I dont know how to go about pursuing this. If i quit my job to go to school full time how will i pay our bills? I cant rely on just student loans, right? I have quite a bit of debt right now, mostly medical (no insurance). I know i could find a part time job, but again, i make a pretty decent wage now and it will be hard going from making twice the amount of minimum wage, to most likely making minimum wage. I know there are a lot of programs and assistance available to students and students with families...but i am so overwhelmed. I want to do this so bad, but feel like i have no guidance. Not to mention i am under a tremendous amount of stress right now. I feel selfish for letting this consume me and take time away from my family. I just cant stop thinking about how i need to start working towards a better future. I want to buy a home and provide a good life to my daughter. I dont want to struggle like my parents did. I want to better myself. I am just so lost as to what i should do. I keep going back and forth...do i quit my job and go to school or do i stick it out at my job and wait until they eventually go under again and lay me off?
Also, going to school would mean moving to a larger city nearby about 45 miles away. I have always wanted to live in this city but it would mean a lot of changes...quitting my job, finding a new preschool for my daughter, etc. I know this could be a great thing, but i am so worried that i wont be able to do it...that i will regret quitting my job. But i also know that if i dont pursue this dream i will also have regrets. WHAT TO DO?!

ANSWER:
Take a breath. What you want is a plan. Try to let go of the emotional aspect and put the choices in logical terms - you've reached the limit of what you can achieve at your current job and want more. You're goals are both short term and long term. You have to make enough money to pay the bills, but you want to earn more money so you can buy a house in the future. You have a job right now, but know there is a potential for layoff in the future - so start saving every dollar you possibly can to cover the bills if you lose your job again, pay off the medical debt, and afford to go back to school. Is there any compromise in the choice between work and school? Could you keep your job and start taking night classes to get used to being in school again? If you cut spending down to bare necessities, how quickly could you pay off the medical debt?

QUESTION:
Can an Accident cause lupus to ?
I have a question for any legal eagles out there, A month ago I had this accident ( non-auto ) and I am about 14 yrs post op from c-spine & lumbar w/some hardware. Within those 14 or so years I have done pretty good, About the only pain I had was caused from weather changes, or over doing things, and then some ice and relaxation, motrin did well. I also have whats called "mild lupus ". Next thing I know, I have this accident ( non-auto related ) and I am in this huge pain cloud. The accident was so hard I was fortunate not to have broken my leg or anything else. I have deep bone contusions ( whatever that is ) and I am in a wheelchair/walker. Life has come to a standstill from what it was before. PT has temporary help, but I keep at it. I push myself from sun up to sunset and I don't know if it's true or not but I am being told now that the lupus has probably flared and is causing the pain to be more widespread. Since I was doing pretty independent,, and for all standards things were under control, and now my life is upside down, I know a lot of the pain is from the accident, but can something like this cause lupus to blow up ? And if so, does this ruin any chance at recovery from the insurance company for the neglect that caused my injury ? I am so angry, and now I have what they call panic problems ( which is new ). Am I just a lost cause, which is unfair because prior to this I worked so hard to make a comeback,.and I am so frigging angry. Any feedback ?-
ANSWER:
I would say that the accident has caused your lupus to flare. Lupus seems to react to any 'trauma' from a simple cold to even an accident or surgery. It's highly likely that it will settle down again but obviously there's no saying how long that will take.If you haven't already, I would see your specialist to see if they can increase or change your medication to give you some relief as that's what they'd usually do when you're in a flare. It's very difficult to separate lupus pain from pain caused by something else, usually changing/upping medication gives you a clue as to how much of the pain is lupus related, if the change in medication helps, it's likely to be lupus related.
I know you must be angry but as I'm sure you know negative thoughts/moods also impact on your lupus often making it worse, so please go to your specialist to see if they can help with the pain and try and let the anger go, it's difficult I know but do try.
Good luck

QUESTION:
Can anyone help with my stolen car situation?
My name is Holly Hardesty and I am looking for someone to give a voice to a serious issue that I have found myself in the middle of. I am now the proud owner of a stolen 2007 Suzuki Forenza. I am writing this for anyone who will listen and because I want to make people aware of what could happen to them if they find themselves dealing with Bremen Chevrolet Buick in Bremen Indiana.
I have overcome many obstacles in my life including bankruptcy and I finally had my life and credit back on track. I am now a college student and while taking business math I learned some things about interest and realized I had a not so pleasant interest rate on my new Suzuki. Therefore, I decided to look into refinancing my Suzuki. While looking to refinance my car I was contacted by Kevin Wenzel of Bremen Chevrolet Buick. Since meeting with Mr. Wenzel, I have been in turmoil. With nowhere left to turn to. Now I want to tell my story to anyone and everyone who will listen.Kevin Wenzel from Bremen Chevrolet Buick contacted me about trading in my car on April 5, 2009. He told me that he found me through one of the finance company’s I had applied at to refinance. He said he was sure he could help me with a trade in. On April 8, 2009, I traveled to Bremen Chevrolet Buick and arrived at the car lot around 1:45 pm.
I talked with Chuck Nick first and test-drove a Chevy Impala. A little later, after Kevin Wenzel looked over my credit and paperwork Chuck Nick came back with a burgundy 2008 Dodge Charger and said that Kevin could not help my current loan and credit with the price of the Impala but could make things better with the price of the Charger.
While talking to Kevin Wenzel I learned that Bremen Chevrolet Buick brought him in from California to help them get rid of some cars and revamp the way things work in their company, so he was only a temporary employee. (So I was told)
When discussing the trade in he offered to take sixty days to attempt to sell my Suzuki if he could not sell the car he would write it off as a trade -in. I signed paperwork regarding the exchange and he said he would mail me a copy of all the paper work involving the Suzuki. I signed several different pieces of paperwork regarding the Suzuki, the Charger and the new warranty I purchased for the Charger. I never received my copies of the paper work that I signed involving my Suzuki. What I received was the purchase agreement for the Charger. Several days later, I received the transfer of title paperwork for the license branch but nothing else.
On May 14, 2009, I received a phone call from the finance company for the Suzuki saying that they never received the pay off. Both Citi Auto Financial and I contacted Bremen Chevrolet Buick and they said that they never had the Suzuki or any paper work on it. They also told us that Kevin Wenzel no longer worked there but I was free to contact him but was never given a contact number.
My witnesses Billie Adkins and Kenny Burrington went to Bremen Chevrolet Buick approximately 2 weeks after I bought the charger to look into a car for them. They took the spare key and manual that belonged with the Suzuki and dropped the items off while they were there. They saw the Suzuki parked on the lot and Kevin Wenzel took the keys and manual for the Suzuki and knew what car they belonged too. When they were speaking with Kevin Wenzel, he told them he was from Illinois.
May 22, 2009, I went to the Bremen police department at 9am and filed a stolen car report with officer Spade. Officer Spade informed me that there was nothing they could do because it was a civil matter but the police department would look into it.
What I learned from the police department was that Mr. Wenzel was no longer employed their and no one had any knowledge about my Suzuki. Since May 22, 2009, I contacted my insurance company Unitrin Direct. After waiting, a couple months for their decision on whether or not they would cover the Suzuki Unitrin Direct reported to me that they would not cover the Suzuki. Due to the Suzuki not being reported until sometime after I changed my policy over, even though the Suzuki was indeed stolen the same day I transferred the policy and left it in the care of Bremen Chevrolet.
After being denied coverage from Unitrin Direct I contacted a lawyer who informed me that I did not have a good chance at winning this particular case due to the fact that I do not have copy’s of the paper work that I signed for my Suzuki.
After hearing this news, I contacted the Citi Financial to see if there was anything, they could do to help me with the situation. Citi Financial contacted their insurance company Balboa insurance. Balboa contacted me, I filed all the necessary paper work with them, and they researched into my case. I received a letter from Balboa Insurance this week stating that they could not cover an embezzled car.
Now I am left with two options contact the lawyer and pay him to quite possibly loose the cas-
